Meet COURTNAÉ PAUL – an award-winning, internationally recognised B-GIRL, CHOREOGRAPHER and DJ hailing from Durban, South Africa. Her entertainment powerhouse repertoire has possibly gained her more passport stamps than a post office as she is always on the move, bringing music, culture, and dance to the masses.

South Africa’s very own ‘Jill’ of many trades has seen her fair share of the world – to date she has travelled to more than 20 countries, while ‘casually’ headlining a NYE event in Dubai, and teaching workshops around the globe.

Courtnaé’s journey has been a wild ride, complete with rubbing elbows with some of the biggest names in the music industry. We’re talking Lil Wayne, Pitbull, Fatman Scoop, Rae Sremmurd, Burna Boy, and Omarion – you know, just a few ‘small-time’ artists you may have heard of. But let’s not forget about her local connections, as she’s also toured, choreographed, and performed with some of South Africa’s hottest talents, including Kwesta, Moonchild Sanelly, Sho Madjozi, Khuli Chana, and the late AKA.

With an impressive range of skills, Courtnaé is like the Swiss Army knife of entertainment – versatile, dependable, and always gets the job done well! She has left a trail of unforgettable experiences in her wake – from igniting the dance floor as a DJ and captivating audiences with an eloquent speech at a Miss South Africa regional qualifier, to crafting an awe-inspiring welcome for the legendary Sir Richard Branson through her intricate choreography.

Courtnaé is a force of nature – not even a country-wide lockdown could slow her down. In fact, she used it as an opportunity to double down on her passions and as the world stood still, she kept the beats pumping on Channel O’s Lockdown House Party, the #Get2GetherExperience on Metro FM and SABC 1. She managed to release a debut EP called Got Next and launched her very own online show, Spare Room Sessions, which amassed over 600 000 in total views. And amidst all of this, she still managed to prioritise training time with her true love – Breaking.

With Breaking added as an official sport to the Olympic Games, Courtnaé is currently on the road to qualifying for the 2024 Games. She comes armed with her South African colours, award for Breaker Of The Year, two back-to-back wins at Breaking For Gold SA Nationals, coupled with her recent participation in international qualifiers in Seoul, Korea and Kitakyushu, Japan.

But wait, that’s not all! In 2021, Courtnaé cemented her status as a national treasure by becoming Red Bull BC One South Africa’s B-Girl champion. The three-time SA champ stands tall as a catalyst for African Breaking, ready to ‘break’ even more barriers and inspire a new generation of athletes to follow in her footsteps.

Courtnaé is more than just a Breaking champion – she’s a master of all things dance. She choreographed and mentored on the 2022 series, Dance Africa Dance, which aired in the UK, Indian islands, and all 52 African countries on DSTV’s ZEE World.

As the world continues to rotate, so does DJ Courtnaé Paul’s song selection. Her dedication to touring and playing mixes on radio stations are just two of the reasons she bagged her first South African Hip Hop Award nomination for DJ of the Year.

Courtnaé keeps the party going with a new single, Running The Country, featuring Major Steez, Touchline Truth, Profound, and the late Tumi Tladi. She also dropped a music video for her hit AfroPop single, No Other Way ft. Rowlene and Manu WorldStar. The sultry turned up visuals is set in an evening scene where Courtnaé shows off her multi-talents as a producer and dancer, with friends and TV personality Kim Jayde, rapper Rouge and influencer Quintessa Ali.

This follows her 2020 debut DJ EP featuring some of SA’s top talent, such as Holly Rey, Gigi LaMayne, Moozlie, Benny Afroe and Boskasie. Most recently, Courtnaé held down the DJing fort on notable stages like Back To The City, Rocking the Daisies, Red Bull Dance Your Style World Final and headlined the launch of the premium apparel and sneaker store, Sneaker District SA.

Beyond her performance lifestyle, Courtnaé’s presence extends to global platforms, with appearances at Tomorrowland alongside Vuse, and noteworthy profiles on CNN, The Home Channel, and SuperSport. Her talent has also graced the renowned stages of Comic Con Africa and Back To The City, while simultaneously captivating audiences as a prominent face in the latest collaboration between AMAKA Studio and Nike.

Courtnaé is a multi-talented dynamo – she’s hosted the Red Bull BC One SA National City Tour and is a seasoned pro when it comes to getting up close and personal with the country’s local heroes. You can also find her flexing a marketing muscle – or three –  in campaigns such as Nike x Fifa, Fitbit, and Halls.

With a flair for business, Courtnaé proudly runs CP Entertainment (Pty) Ltd – a high-end entertainment company that specialises in all things performance, creative direction and conceptualisation.
